The Office of Library Media Services, located at the Crofton Centre, has the dual responsibility of providing services at both the system level and the individual schools and special centers. The mission of the school library media program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information.

Building level library media specialists, in partnership with teachers, provide instruction to students in information literacy, communication, reading and technology.  Library media resources provide students with meaningful and authentic learning experiences that promote student achievement and lifelong learning.

Library Media Services at the central office extends the building level library media program through the Professional Library, Review & Evaluation Center, Production Center, Video Library and Online Database Resources.  These services are available to all teachers and staff.
