Professional
Library
The Professional Library serves
the school community of Anne Arundel County
Public Schools. Any resident of Anne Arundel
County is welcome to use the library.
Students from any of the colleges in the
area are welcome. Services include access to
information and research in the field of
education and related responsibilities.
Holdings include a large collection of
education journals, ERIC documents on
microfiche, books, and online databases.
In addition to providing and organizing the
information, staff responds to research
questions by providing bibliographies on the
research topic. Response is usually within
the school day. A request can be made by
phone, fax, or e-mail. Materials can be sent
to an Anne Arundel County Public School the
same day and arrive in the school the
following day. A copier and microfiche
scanner/printer are available for patron
use. For those materials not available in
the library, the Professional Library
provides inter-library loan service via
Marina, the Maryland inter-library loan
system.
A limited amount of equipment is available
for AACPS staff to borrow.
